Make the space work for you

How can I check whether a proposed patio is large enough for my table and chairs? Mark out the proposed shape with string, hose or chalk, then place the table and chairs inside it. Pull chairs back and walk round them to judge usable space.
What should I bring to the discussion if I have not chosen a paving style? Bring photos, samples or saved images showing colours, shapes and finishes you like. Broad visual preferences help us discuss a paving style that suits the patio’s use.
